Gator Bowl: Michigan 14 Mississippi State 51

Very disappointing game.  We were cannon fodder for the Bulldogs.  No offense, no defense.  The Bulldogs were vastly superior.

The Wolverines were unprepared for the game.  In every way and on every play.  Can't even talk about it.

The said thing about it is that I expected this to happen.  Couldn't watch the game after the third quarter.

Rich Rod should have been fired at halftime.  Hell, he should have been fired after the Ohio State Game.

I hope AD  Brandon has been recruiting the past six months and makes an announcement rather quickly about releasing RR and hiring his replacement.  Hopefully in the same press conference or the on the same day.

I hesitate to speculate on the replacement.  Will be a tough choice.  The offense is set up for a spread.  So should we get a better spread coach or abandon this experiment that has failed?  Getting Harbaugh would be good from a tradition point of view but might mean three more years of rebuilding to re-install a pro style offense.  Denard isn't the quarterback for that system, neither is Forcier (who will probably be leaving anyway).  I think all the talk about Harbaugh is just speculation by the press.  I would like to see him come but am doubtful it would happen.

Would love to have Les Miles, he could certainly upgrade our spread and establish the defense again.  Again, doubtful he would leave LSU, except that they really don't appreciate him in Baton Rouge.

I would really love to see Brandon have the guts to hire someone like Jim Tressel, when he came to OSU.  Great established coach at a lower level at Youngstown State, but had been recruiting against M and OSU for years.  Knew the territory and the traditions.  Who is this coach?  The next "Bo".

What I'm afraid of, is that we have started a revolving door of coaches, like at Alabama had after Bear died.

We should have scooped up Brian Kelly years ago instead of hiring RR.  Not available anymore.

Might post again after some press conferences this week.

It's good to be a Michigan Wolverine.
Go Michigan, beat the Crimson Tide (next Season's Opener)
